EdFed Race for Education at the Superintendent’s 5K
One of the most direct ways to having your needs met is to ask. So, we did.
The Miami-Dade County Public Schools Foundation asked one of our valued partners, EdFed, to bolster its support of our annual Superintendent’s 5K, and the answer was, “yes.”
For the next three years, beginning in 2026, we will now welcome thousands of runners, joggers and walkers to the newly named “EdFed Race for Education at the Superintendent’s 5K.” The excitement that comes with having our first Title Sponsor for our largest community event cannot be overstated. We are ecstatic!
EdFed’s multi-year commitment directly and positively impacts Miami-Dade Public School teachers and students by ensuring that 5K registration fees are invested right back into the participating schools. Just as importantly, EdFed’s sponsorship dollars enable M-DCPS Foundation to put on a great race.
And what a race it is.
Last year, 242 schools and more 7,060 big and little Miamians laced up their shoes and hit the pavement, showing love for their public schools. An energetic mix of fitness and philanthropy, the EdFed Race for Education at the Superintendent’s 5K fills Maurice A. Ferré Park to the brim with family activities, a Race Village, burned-up calories and many good vibes.
EdFed became our first Title Sponsor because it believes in M-DCPS Foundation’s mission — helping our students achieve the best outcomes and gain the best experiences they can. If you believe in that mission too, I’m asking, “Will you or your organization show Miami-Dade that you support the betterment of our public schools?”
“Will you reward our 5K runners with special medals when they cross the finish line?”
“Will you increase your support or become a first-time event sponsor, so that our teachers can create more immersive learning opportunities?”
I’m asking for sponsorship support on behalf of the 313,000 students who walk through the doors of Miami-Dade County’s classrooms with the expectation that their educational needs will be met. The need is bigger than you may think, and so, I’m counting on your answer being a resounding “yes.”
Thank you, EdFed, for setting the pace of the EdFed Race for Education at the Superintendent’s 5K. Let’s break the record for giving together. Please reach out to me about our available sponsorship opportunities: Superintendent’s 5K Race For Education Sponsorship Opportunities
