M-DCPS Foundation Scholarship Award
Details & Requirements:
The M-DCPS Foundation Scholarship Award was established to recognize and honor graduating seniors from traditional, non-charter high schools in Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS). Scholarships are awarded on strong academic performance, demonstration of leadership and potential to achieve career goals.
- Fully completed application with up-to-date and accurate information.
- A copy of your most current transcript
- A copy of your most current GradeTracker report
- Two (2) letters of recommendation from a high school counselor, educational or community organization leader
- A typed essay of 750 words or fewer answering the following question: What impact do you hope to make in your chosen field or industry, and how will this scholarship help you achieve that goal?

Francis A. Metcalfe Endowment Scholarship
Details & Requirements:
The Francis A. Metcalfe Endowment Scholarship Fund provides assistance with college expenses to children of an American Federation of State, County, and
Municipal Employees Organization (AFSCME) employees who are graduating seniors of traditional Miami-Dade County public high schools. This fund was made possible by the son of Francis A. Metcalfe, William, and his wife, Cecelia Davidson.

- A copy of your most current GradeTrack report
- Two (2) letters of recommendation from a high school counselor, educational or community organization leader
- A typed essay of 750 words or fewer answering the following question: As the child of an American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) employee, how has your family’s connection to public service shaped who you are today and influenced your educational goals and plans for the future?
